Certifications

Certification

Each year black belts (1^st degree and up) over the age of 14 have to pass their certification for Judging and Umpiring.  Black belts are not allowed to compete at sanctioned events if they don’t judge lower belts and in order to Judge they have to be certified.  It is mandatory for Judges and Umpires to wear a navy suit, white shirt, plain navy tie and white TKD shoes.  They must also wear the TKD lapel pin to show that they are certified.
